I bought a PowerBook G4 on ebay for a wicked good deal. Its so nice to have a computer thats not always freaking out on me. Now Im just doing the responsible Christian thing and loading it up with pirated software. Its pretty much awesome.

This last weekend I went on the Memorial Day Retreat with the youth group from NSBC. It was like a giant multiday flashback. Every single year I went on that retreat from 7th grade all the way up to 12th. It was sweet to see kids going on their first retreat and getting all excited. I remember that feeling.

Camp is coming up soon. Its going to be like boot camp, both physically and spiritually. I cant wait.

Bed time.

Lost.

Ugh I freakin hate it when you lose something. I lost the memory card on my phone that I just got a few weeks ago. I have no idea how it fell out or where. Man thats just frusterating.

Sickness.

So the past few days have been pretty interesting.

I got a call from my mom on Monday night asking if I could bring her to the hospital. Now before you all freak out, shes doing ok, still feeling alitle ickey but she’ll be ok.
Apparently she has some really intense stomach bug or something. Anyway she got very dehydrated and started to get a really high fever. I didnt think it was that serious until my mom told me later that if she hadnt gone into the hospital, she might not still be here.
That was scary to hear. Right now shes still in the hospital but doing good. Shes scheduled to home tomorrow. In the mean time Ive been house/dogsitting for her.

Even though I know my mom is recovering well and everything, it was still pretty weird to walk into the hospital room and see her all hooked up to this big spider-web of IVs and medicines. Instead of her normal clothes I saw a bland hospital gown and in place of her normally bright mom-ish eyes I saw them look really exausted and ready to go home.
I guess through out my life Ive never had anybody very close to me get sick or injured. I mean we all get sick and scrape our knees but Ive never had any friend or family on the brink. I suppose seeing my mom there was just a little taste of what some familys must go though. That must suck. I cant imagine going into the hospital to visit somebody without knowing if they would ever leave.

What if we could see spiritual wounds as easily as we see those that are physical? We would all be hobbling around on crutches with our eyes bandaged up and arms outstreched in casts. What a sorry mess we would be

Heres another old Lamoka picture.
I just found out that Theft (name change coming soon) is playing the main stage at The Taste Of Syracuse this June. This is an awesome opportunity for us to get exposure on the Syracuse music scene. Anyway heres a list of some upcomming events.

-April 25th - Jamie and I are opening up for Wolfy @ Mezzanotte Lounge.

-June 7th - Taste of Syracuse - Main Stage - 7pm (EP release show)

Things are also going good for The Ascending. We have been working on developing a new set for venues that lean more towards entertainment. I love playing at churches and leading worship but once and awhile its just fun to go all out and perform a good rock set. We have some shows coming up and Id love it if you could make it to one of them:

-April 15.16.17 - Flower City Work Camp - Rochester NY

-April 18 - LOCK IN - Binghamton NY

-May 3 - Youth Extreme - Webster NY

Thats all I can think of right now. :)

Sun

Today I walked outside and got slapped in the face by something called sunshine.
